Bio
DeeSoul Carson (He/They) is a poet and educator from San Diego, now residing in Brooklyn. His work is featured in Voicemail Poems, Muzzle Magazine, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The Offing, AGNI, and elsewhere. His chapbook, Running From Streetlights (2020), meditates on Blackness and being in America in the period of racial reckoning that happened following the murder of George Floyd. A Stanford University alum, DeeSoul has received fellowships from The Watering Hole and New York University, where he received his Creative Writing MFA.
